Camp Kef (Grades K-7) June 20 - August 5

Camp Kef, which means "fun" in Hebrew, is a variety Day Camp that will provide an array of activities and experiences led by our dynamic counselors. Group lessons and free swim during camp hours!
Campers will swim in our full size pool, supervised
by certified WSI lifeguards and instructors.

Campers will also enjoy a summer of fun playing
basketball, volleyball, and sports galore in our
indoor sports facility, The Shalom Dome, and on
the outdoor field.
Campers must bring a dairy sack lunch each day
except when lunch is provided.

Drop-off: 8 AM - 9 AM
Camp Hours: 9 AM - 3 PM
After Care*: 3 PM - 5 PM
*After Care is $20 per day.

Weekly Field Trips (K-7)

Camp Kef and Specialty Camps will participate in weekly field trips every THURSDAY. On field trip days, please bring a dairy sack lunch. *Camp will end at 5 PM on these days.

Specialty Camps - Grades 4-6
(Choose either a Specialty Camp or Camp Kef for these weeks)
June 20 - 24, June 27 - July 1 (Sports)  •  August 1 - 5 (Robotics)

Pre-Season Sports Camp - Grades K-6
Dates:  August 15 - 19  •  August 22 - 26 

Choose either a half day (9AM - 12PM) or full day (9AM - 3PM) option. 

Grade 3-6 boys will focus on flag football
Grade 3-6 girls will focus on basketball
Grades K-2 will play various sports

Grades K-6 color war, swimming and much more!

Students should bring a sack lunch. Snacks will be provided. 

Cost: Half Day is $250/week or $60 per day and Full Day is $400/week or $90 per day.

Drop off available beginning at 8AM for no extra fee and after care will be available from 3-5PM for $20 per day.

Overnight at Camp Ramah: July 11-12 (Grades 3-6)

Join friends from Camp VBS for "A day in the life of a Ramah camper" on Sunday, July 11 through Monday, July 12. Campers will spend the day participating in a variety of Camp Ramah programs including arts and crafts, sports, Israeli dance, swimming, water slides and will have an overnight in the Camp Ramah Tree House.

Cost: $100 including meals and transportation

Junior CIT Program (Grade 7)

This summer, students entering 7th grade will be eligible to participate in the Junior CIT Program. Participants will spend part of the day working with younger children, and developing leadership and counseling skills. During the other part of the day, Junior CITs will participate in a variety of fun, age-appropriate activities including sports an swimming. 

In addition, every Thursday, the Junior CITs will attend the upper grade field trips in their own seperate group. 

CIT applications must be received by May 3, 2016. 

Cost: $80/Day Early Bird (by April 13) or $85/Day. Community service hours will be awarded for the time spent as a CIT.

CIT Leadership & Social Action Program (Grades 8-9)

The  Camp VBS CIT Leadership & Social Action Program is designed to foster leadership skills for youth entering grades 8 and 9. Counselors-in-training will participate in leadership training, and gain hand-on experience assisting Camp Kef campers. As part of the leadership training, CITs will actively participate in a weekly social action project. 

CIT applications must be received by May 3, 2016. 

Cost: The CIT program is $200 per week and CITs will be awarded community service hours.

Junior Counselors (Grades 10-12)

Junior counselor opportunities are available for students entering grades 10-12. Junior Counselors will receive community service credit as well as a stipend. To apply for a Junior Counselor position, please contact Rabbi Avi (ataff@vbsds.org) by Wednesday, April, 13, 2016.
Camp Shelanu (Ages 2½-5)   June 28 - August 12

Welcome to a fun-filled summer at Camp Shelanu! Our camp is an exciting, enriching experience, designed for preschoolers. All our activities are created exclusively for 2 1/2-5 year old campers in a safe, supervised atmosphere.   • Art Studio - A hands-on oriented art experience promoting individual creativity
  • Shira (Music) - Camp wide sing-a-long filled with fun, laughter and Ruach!! (spirit)
  • Sports - Campers will participate in daily sports activities
  • Water Play - Splashing, refreshing fun all day long
  • Gymnastics/Yoga - A professional gymnast engages campers in energetic body movement
  • Weekly Thematic Activities - Community specialists will be brought in to enrich the camp experience

Camp Shelanu CIT Program (Ages 12-18)

Camp Shelanu offers a CIT program for youths 12-18 years of age. CITs will assist in activities, gain valuable and job training experience, enjoy social interaction with their peers and have the opportunity to plan camp activities. Participants will also receive community service hours. 

Cost: $125/week or $25/day.
